Designed and built with functionality in mind
Joules is a custom-made van built in 2020 for an adventurous couple who love to get out and ski and kayak throughout every season in the Pacific Northwest. Gear storage and a place to keep drinks and food cold was especially important to them, so our team designed a large, open garage area with plenty of overhead exoskeleton cabinetry, perfect for storing clothes and other outdoor gear. Paired with a simple galley with a fridge and a countertop, this simplistic build checks all of their boxes. Secure, recessed l-track has been installed on the floor behind the driver and passenger seats so an additional captains chair can be added at a later date. Plenty of l-track can be found in the garage area as well, which is used for securely strapping down large gear and bags. A removable Lagun table can be used behind the swiveling driver’s seat, which is the perfect space for working from the road.
To keep the fridge, lights, and outlets powered, 2 AGM batteries and a 2000W inverter have been installed. And for cooler months, a 12,000 BTU Webasto Air Top EVO 40 Diesel Heating System keeps the cabin nice and toasty.
