Syncline – First Looks into the Ultimate Adventure Van

Compact, feature-rich, and ready to hit the roads, our latest flagship model is the epitome of what it means to be an Outside Van. Our reputation for building the best camper vans for adventurers, overlanders, and explorers has defined an industry that far pre-dates lockdowns and hashtags, and we are continuing that tradition with our latest model van.
Building an adventure-ready camper van conversion in such a small space like that of a 144 wheelbase is an exercise in design and ingenuity. We have taken all our expertise and knowledge gained from over 30 years of building the best adventure vans in existence and condensed it into a tightly designed and robustly engineered package we have named Syncline.
Using a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 AWD Chassis as its foundation, Syncline is feature packed and focused on getting you out into and exploring nature as it was intended to be explored.
Syncline was designed around seating and sleeping 2 full-sized adults, with all the amenities needed for extended off-grid adventuring. It has all the hallmarks of an Outside Van such as a full galley kitchen, shower system, lithium power system, heating and cooling; the details of which will be revealed in the coming weeks. In the meantime, let’s focus on some features we are excited to be highlighting with Syncline.

Much like it’s 170 counterpart Approach, Syncline utilizes a series of systems and components designed from the ground up and currently only available in our model vans. Central to the layout is the Water Box showering system. Tucked into a hidden bench seat compartment, the Water Box unfolds into a full enclosed showering space tapered to the shape of the human body so that every inch of available space is utilized to the max. When showering is done, the curtain folds up flush to the wall for air-drying, and the whole system can be packed back up at a moments notice.

Unique to Syncline is a murphy style fold-down bed with L-Track compatible attachment points and MOLLE panel storage built into the bed platform. A fold-up style bed allows for the space in Syncline to be prioritized for gear access or as a sleeping space. Assisted by gas-actuated struts, deploying and stowing the bed, including the memory foam mattress and bedding, is a breeze. When stowed, an expansive gear wall is accessible and turns the garage of your van into an organized and functional workspace. To maximize sleeping space, pop outs have been added so that sleeping laterally (or east to west) is possible.
The exterior of the van features a brand-new roof rack system that is geared to be a minimalist solution to rooftop organization without compromising on functionality. The forward section of the roof rack houses the 50-inch LED light bar and 130-watt solar panel, while the aft section acts as a modular foundation for rooftop storage using embedded L-Track and various mounting points. The rack also features a waterproof passthrough port so that a Starlink or other wired equipment can be effortlessly installed and integrated into the van without having to drill new holes.

To access the roof rack, there is a side utility ladder with attachment points on each step. These attachment points have been designed to be able to accept mounts for accessories like traction boards or RotopaX, and are also able to accept L-Track plates to further expand exterior storage options. On the rear of the van is our Wing Step Rear Step Bumper which has a grip tape for greater traction, and is designed to not impede on trailer hitch attachments.
Stay tuned for more details about Syncline and what makes this van the ultimate Adventure Van. We will be releasing all the specs as we get closer to the full reveal at the 2024 Florida RV Super Show in Tampa, Florida this January.
