Riding into the Sun

Created in 2021 for an adventurous couple who love to explore the west, Desert Sun is a Sprinter 144 that’s the perfect home on wheels. Thanks to the flares that allow sleeping side-to-side, our team could install a 2-panel bed that takes up less space; there’s a cozy dinette seating area with a removable table to relax at after a day of adventuring. This area can also seamlessly be transformed into a sleeping area. The galley kitchen has a sink, cooktop, and fridge/freezer combo.

To power all of the van’s components, we’ve installed 300Ah of lithium-ion batteries, paired with a 2000W inverter and a secondary alternator that charges these batteries while the engine is on. The Webasto diesel heater keeps the cabin air toasty, and the Espar diesel heater handles the water.
