Further, a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 is the newest build for a repeat Outsider. With Further, he plans to do just that: explore further into the expansive off-grid terrain with a lithium-ion power system, an upgraded suspension, and more modern updates!
Internally, Further’s layout is perfect for a solo traveler or when a co-pilot is along for the journey. Heated by an Espar Hydronic Diesel system, the 19-gallon freshwater tank feeds directly to an upgraded rectangular galley kitchen sink and rear exterior shower connection. Food and drinks stay chilled in the Isotherm refrigerator. A flip-up table is located to the left of the galley, next to the dual-purpose sofa, bench, and 3-panel bed. With an upgrade JL Audio package, hanging out on Sunbrella fabric upholstered bench with two lower storage drawers is a dream. Warm air stays flowing thanks to a Webastro Air Top EVO 40 Diesel heating system. Keep electronics charged via (4) 110V outlets or (6) Dual USB/USB-C outlets.
Further is meant to be enjoyed off-grid and on public lands for weeks. A robust 630 Ah lithium-ion power system is paired with a 2000W magnum inverter, 280XP high amp secondary alternator, and 280W rooftop solar. Infrequently explored terrain makes an upgraded suspension vital! Further is outfitted with an Agile Off-Road RIP Kit, Agile “No Rub” Front Tire Fender, and BFGoodrich K02 tires. Gear is stored securely in the rear garage thanks to molle panels, stuff sacks, Mac’s VersaTie track, a bike gear glider, and a bike repair stand.
