Built in 2019, ModVenture is a custom built van that was designed for an adventurous couple and their dog, allowing them to embark on long road trips all over the western US. They named their van ModVenture because of their love of modern design and adventure, but they also call her Beast when they’re conquering technical terrain, Butter when she makes rutty and rocky roads seem smooth as butter, and Badger when the road or trail exceeds their comfort zone, yet she makes it easy!

After selling their Eurovan, this couple put some serious thought into what vehicle they wanted next, how they were going to use it, and how it could help them get to their favorite spots (which usually involve meandering a few hours down a dirt road on Forest Service or BLM land). With Method wheels, All-Terrain tires, and an Agile RIP kit to improve the van’s suspension, as well as a Warn front winch to help with slick or sticky situations, this van is an off-road machine!

The interior has everything you need for a comfortable basecamp. Even though it’s built in a smaller chassis, the layout is extremely spacious, thanks to the flares that add width to the van and allow perpendicular sleeping on the two panel bed. With a smaller bed footprint, this allows more space in the living area. The galley boasts lots of storage space in drawers, as well as a deep sink with a swivel neck that includes a cover that allows for full use of the countertop. With 12v plugs that accommodate removable chest fridges in the front and rear, cold food storage is dynamic and removable when not needed. The small custom bench to the right of the galley was built specially for their dog so she can hang her head out the driver window.
