FridayKargo, a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170 built for an outdoorsy family of two, is on its maiden voyage. After leaving our shop in Portland, OR FridaKargo headed north to Canada so its owners could spend seven days heli-skiing! When they’re back in the United States, FridaKargo is off toward frozen lakes so family and friends can enjoy kite-skiing together.
The collapsible interior shower is one feature that’s mostly out of sight but can be so essential. Next to the galley sink, a removable aluminum shower pan securely mounts to a drain connected to the grey water tank. Quickly deploy the curtain, stand on the shower pan, click the portable shower hose to the water adapter under the sink counter, and enjoy! A 19-gallon freshwater tank keeps hands clean and hair washed. A composting toilet is hidden between the galley and bench against the driver-side wall. The 42” medium galley cabinet includes a rectangular deep under mount sink with a pulldown faucet, Vitrifigo DW180 RFX, overhead microwave, and plenty of storage drawers. When it’s finally time to kick the skis off and rest, this couple will take comfort on the 3-panel raised with a custom mattress and memory foam topper. One panel can fold down, making for a convenient sofa backrest paired with custom bench seats.
There’s no need to leave the mountains or lakes when FridaKargo is packed with 630Ah lithium-ion batteries, a 2000W magnum inverter, 280XP high amp alternator, and rooftop solar panels! While on the safari-style roof, stash some gear in the Packasport System 60 box. Featuring style and substance, FridaKargo is outfitted with an Agile Off-Road RIP Kit, Agile “No Rub” Front Tire Fender, 17” Warlord wheels from Black Rhino, and BFGoodrich K02 tires.
